A partnership shaped by history and focused on tomorrow

The unchanged focus on a strong and proactive customer relationship

When we look back at the history of Batenburg Applied Technologies, you come across Van Reijsen Elektronika at an early stage. A company that, since 1998, has been an important basis for the automation hardware services that we now have in-house. Something that has remained unchanged is the focus on strong and proactive customer relationships, of which the relationship with Moog is one.

Moog is a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and systems integrator of high performance precision motion control systems for the aerospace and maritime sectors, among others. In these markets, the test and simulation sector is an important sales channel and a source of knowledge and innovation. Industries like these are textbook examples of places where Moog constantly pushes the boundaries of technology. Because of this, experienced partners with technological expertise and capacities for product development are crucial.

Driving excellence through technical expertise

"A customer relationship with a history like this does not just happen, but develops by looking forward and backward, actively play the advisory part, and anticipate to trends and market situations," says Dennis Houtman, account manager for Moog in The Netherlands at Batenburg Applied Technologies.

"The Control Loading Distribution Box (CDB Box) we supply was developed more than 20 years ago and we continue to implement updates to deliver the best solution for our customers. All this time, we have used our know-how of industrial hardware to keep the system manufacturable. Even in times of scarcity, aging or phasing out components."

Ready for what’s next

Ready for what’s next

The shared enthusiasm for electronics and mechatronics is something that feeds the relationship and can be seen in systems such as the CDB Box. This product, developed and assembled in-house by Batenburg, houses crucial automation hardware that controls force feedback functionalities in life-size simulators. The system is indispensable for the realism, so that pilots experience the controls as lifelike.

In the present time, in a valuable collaborative effort  between engineers from Moog and Batenburg, work is being done on the next generation of the CDB Box. The application of new technology and a simpler production process will lead to a sustainable and cost-efficient solution.

"It is precisely by tackling this process with engineers from both companies that realization becomes possible faster. Because we know both the components and applications well, and develop prototypes in-house, potential bottlenecks are addressed early to ensure smooth series delivery and seamless integration into the simulators."

Empowering solutions through collaborative action

Over the years, Batenburg Applied Technologies has managed to maintain and even expand the right technical expertise, making it still a committed and reliable partner for Moog, even in times of economic challenges. Collaboration plays a crucial role in driving innovation. It highlights what companies can achieve when they unite behind a shared goal and apply a structured, process‑driven approach.
